July 1-7 Great Lakes Tour

Arrive in Chicago and check into our hotel. We'll have a casual get-together beer (or several) that evening to get us ready for the rest of the week. [If you need recommendations for afternoon spots, let us know!]

You'll enjoy breakfast and a quiet morning at the hotel before we officially start with our First Pitch Lunch. From there, our private charter will take us to explore a brewery before we head to Wrigley Field for a tour of the nation's most iconic ballpark and a big league showdown between the Cleveland Guardians and the Cubs. 

Grab breakfast at the hotel before we head up to Western Michigan - one of the country's great beer regions. We're working on a special surprise opportunity on our way to Bell's Brewery, where we'll get a behind-the-scenes tour and tastings from one of the original craft brewers in the nation which has emerged as one of its largest. From there we'll take the short drive into Grand Rapids to get settled into our hotel. We'll regroup to head just north to enjoy a tasting on the way to watch the West Michigan Whitecaps (Detroit Tigers) host the  Great Lakes Loons (Los Angeles Dodgers) from right behind home plate before enjoying fireworks.

You'll have the morning and early afternoon on your own to explore some of our top recommendations from among more than 40 breweries as we celebrate the holiday before a late paired tasting lunch built around the farmhouse ales from the amazing team at Brewery Vivant. From there, we'll bus to Lansing. We'll have a little down time at the hotel before we take the short walk to Jackson Field, where the Lansing Lugnuts (Sacramento Athletics) will host the Fort Wayne TinCaps (San Diego Padres) in our second High-A Midwest League contest with another round of beer, baseball and fireworks!

You'll have time to walk to the capitol grounds before we board our bus to head to beer brunch at Maumee Bay Brewing as we make our way to Akron. where we'll be treated to some of the best high-ABV beer around  Hoppin' Frog Brewery. Then we'll get a little downtime at the hotel before we take the short stroll to Canal Park, where we'll watch the Rubber Ducks (Cleveland Guardians) host the Erie SeaWolves (Detroit Tigers) in a Double-A Eastern League contest. 

We'll take the short ride north to Cleveland for a quick taste before heading to watch the High-A Midwest League Lake County Captains (Cleveland Guardians) host the Dayton Dragons (Cincinnati Reds) in an afternoon contest. After the game, we'll head back to Cleveland, get settled into the hotel, and then finish our trip with dinner at Noble Beast Brewing, one of the Midwest's best all-around brewers.

You'll check out of the hotel and head home at your leisure. You may want to make sure you give yourself a late enough departure that you can stop by Fat Heads Brewery for one last pint before you head to the airport!
